Deepen your skills
1
SAFETY & STABILIZATION
Safety is not a phase, it’s an ongoing clinical task.
We train clinicians to move beyond basic grounding and safety planning to build real therapeutic safety in the presence of control, dissociation, and complex systems.
2
PROCESSING & INTEGRATION
Standard models fall short when trauma is chronic, relational, and adaptive.
Our advanced training and consultation focuses on how to pace, modify, and integrate evidence based modalities so survivors can process trauma without re-harm, overwhelm, or rupture in the therapeutic relationship.
3
GROWTH & EMPOWERMENT
Healing for for trafficking survivors is about more than symptom reduction.
It’s about reclaiming agency, identity, and choice after exploitation.
We equip clinicians to support long-term growth, relational repair, and post-traumatic resilience while navigating the unique power dynamics this work requires.
ABOUT THE CO-FOUNDERS
Hi there!
We are Colorado-based social workers and clinicians who co-founded Golden Thread Collaborative after repeatedly seeing skilled therapists left underprepared for the realities of trafficking and exploitation work. We know firsthand that this work is complex, relational, and often falls outside what traditional training covers.
We created Golden Thread Collaborative to offer the kind of advanced, clinically grounded training and consultation we wish existed. This kind of support honors survivor wisdom, challenges outdated models, and equips helpers to do this hard work with skill, humility, and heart.
We’re in this because we believe that therapy can be better, healing can be deeper, and survivors deserve care that truly meets the complexity of their lived experience.
